First while I use the 2nd edition template for my cards, they are considered 1st editions and follow the rules of the first edition of Deciphers Star Trek CCG.
I will be modifying some 1st edition rules and adding new ones to simplify game play. In case there are any questions on why I am using the 2nd edition template for my cards, I am going to answer those here, first I like the look of the 2nd edition cards, they look clearer, smoother and better then the first edition template, they also allow for larger card images, more room for text, staffing requirements, and skills, for an example take a look at my original 1st edition template version of Imperial One and the 2nd edition version.
I have at lest ten sets planed and have several cards done for the first six, the first six sets are in order, Through the Looking Glass, a set based on the mirror universe of star trek adding mirror universe Romulans and new cards for both the Klingon/Cardassian Alliance and the Terrans including a new Emblem card The Terran Republic, the story line of Through the Looking Glass is completely mine, Second Chances, will be based on the TNG era, Yesteryear, is a set based on the TOS, TAS, & the first six star trek movies, it will include new cards never done including two new Zefram Cochranes one mirror and the one from TOS, Shattered Mirror, a continuation of the mirror universe adding more new cards and a glimpse of a new affiliation for the mirror universe, the Husnock, Patterns of Force, will include cards from all the Star Trek series and will fully unveil the Husnock affiliation, set of course in the mirror universe, and Parallels, will include cards from all the Star Trek series including Terran Empire versions of some cards including Voyager and her crew. I am also planing to do something with the "
blue gills" from the TNG episode "
Conspiracy" probably set in the mirror universe, and modeling them a bit more after the "
Goa'uld" from
Stargate, though the
bluegills pre-date the Goa'uld and share similar attributes and attitudes, you could even argue that the bluegills were the origional Goa'uld.
In each set I will include a set of preview cards (you can find an example of a preview and a promo card below) preview cards will have a gold border and be numbered as a separate set, Promo cards will have a silver "Latinum" border.
A quick note on a new Icon that I made you might see a tricolored AU Icon it is treated as if it said AU, Future, or Past, like on the Alternate Universe Door listed.
